華人女性採取宿命論的自殺？

DO CHINESE WOMEN COMMIT FATALISTIC SUICIDE?

本研究以台灣地區1959-1987年間男女自殺死亡率進行時間序列（timeseries）分析，發現在社會整合度較高時自殺死亡率也較高，暗示此地區居民的自殺可能比較傾向於宿命論或利他型，而非社會脫序型或自我型。

A time series studies of suicide rates in men and women in Taiwan from 1959-1987 indicated that suicide rates were higher when measures of social integration were higher, suggesting that suicide in Taiwan may be fatalistic/altruistic rather than anomic/egoistic in nature.
