In this paper, the author has reviewed more than 50 papers concerning psychosocial stress of working class women in Taiwan. The review has focused on socio-demographic variables, mediating factors, and results of these studies. Special attention was paid to studies related to single working mother, and a comparison between studies of working mothers and that of housewives was exercised. Implications of the review on methodology and future research directions have also been discussed. |
