The discourse on Just Transition originated in the 1970s from environmental and labor rights disputes in the coal and fossil fuel industries. Over time, global trends such as sustainable development, net-zero emissions, and the low-carbon economic transition have driven extensive discussions on Just Transition within the social sciences. However, the term“Just Transition”appears infrequently in management literature. This study adopts a bibliometric approach to analyze and explore the evolution of solely transition-related concepts in management research, identifying six major thematic clusters: innovation, institutions, organizations, entrepreneurship, governance, and inclusion. The findings indicate that transition-related studies have been present in the management field and are expanding in response to global sustainability and ESG trends. Furthermore, the overlap and interaction between thematic clusters highlight the need for interdisciplinary research on the issue of Just Transition. This study aims to raise awareness of the Just Transition issue in the management studies field as well as to initiate development and integration of future-related research. |
