This study explores graduate students’learning process in qualitative research, learning outcomes, and instructors' professional growth and reflection by integrating NVivo into a qualitative research course. Using action research, 19 graduate students participated in the course. Data were collected through interviews, observations, document collection, and questionnaires. The course progressed through three stages: teaching of qualitative research topics, integration of NVivo into the teaching in the later stages of the first and second stages, allowing students to learn qualitative research topics and NVivo simultaneously, and presentation of final papers by students in the third stage. Findings indicate that students enhanced comprehensive learning effectiveness, cognition, data analysis abilities, and reflective attitudes. |
