After the War World II in 1945, the United States has almost played an important role as the regulator of international politics, international economy and even the international order. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to describe the United States as the global hegemon from the second half of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. Of course, from the perspective of human history, being able to dominate the world must be based on the strength of the country, but just after entering the 21st century, due to the decline of its internal affairs and the decline of its diplomacy, and the eagerness of other countries to catch up, especially the rise of China, leading to the decline of American hegemony. Especially when the United States continues to seek self-interest, even at the expense of the rights and interests of other countries, so there is a wave of suspicion of the United States in the international community. The purpose of writing this article is to explore the decline of American hegemony, the impact of the decline of hegemony on American diplomacy, and the skepticism of the United States in Taiwan society, and the interactive relationship between the three. |
