This study aims at the analysis to the current situation of intergenerational programs in Taiwan and its sustainability. The research object contains the kindergarten and the elderly activity center which have conducted intergenerational programs for several years. The methods of this study is the analysis of literature, which makes the guideline for semi-structured interview. The results of this study include of following: Intergenerational programs can exhibit its advantages on the region of emotion; Culture-based topic added plenty of fun is suitable for intergenerational programs; Elderly participants take part in the discussion of intergenerational activities; The rigor, coherence, and continuity of the intergenerational programs must be improved; Get to know the knowledge of intergenerational participants and create a flexible curriculum; The emphasis of the start and the extend of implementing intergenerational programs and clear consensus are fundamental for sustainability. According to the results, the conclusion, recommendations include of following: Continue implementing intergenerational programs and foster the interaction of the young and old to exhibit its advantages on the region of emotion; Optimize two-way communication to improve the rigor, coherence, and continuity of the intergenerational programs; Vertical communication and horizontal communication to enrich the programs and move towards sustainability. |
