As the global population aging trend accelerates. Long-term care institutions face difficulties such as manpower shortage, service quality management and improvement of operational efficiency. The application of smart care is seen as an important approach to improving care efficiency and quality. However, the application of smart care faces problems such as high cost, technical adaptability, personnel training and system integration. Therefore, this study aims to explore the feasibility of introducing smart care into residential long-term care institutions and analyze the key elements of its introduction to provide reference for institutional managers. This study adopted a qualitative research method, using semi-structured expert interviews. Invite five types of experts (institutional managers and investors, wisdom care scholars, information system vendors, equipment suppliers) to explore the current application status of smart care. Research results: The introduction of smart care can improve the quality of care, reduce the burden on caregivers, and optimize institutional operations. However, the import process is limited by issues such as high cost, equipment maintenance, and personnel adaptation. Therefore, planning and cost analysis must be conducted before introducing an institution. To ensure the feasibility of the application. Research recommendations: (1) Institutions must plan the introduction of smart care based on needs, which should be consistent with the current service model, and develop a phased implementation plan to reduce adaptation and integration risks. (2) You can apply for government subsidies and incentives (e.g. the Care Quality Award Scheme for Residential Institutions) to reduce the financial burden on the institution. (3) Smart care needs to focus on system interoperability, data standardization, and operational convenience to improve application effectiveness and ensure that both caregivers and residents can use it effectively. |
