This study takes students from the Kaohsiung Campus of Shih Chien University of Science and Technology as the research subjects on their learning and application of contemporary information technology. Mainly based on the Digital Competence Framework (DigComp) established by the European Union, it assesses students' development of digital capabilities. The focus includes information and digital content creation, communication and collaboration, use of digital technology, safety, and problem solving. The research tool is the ''Questionnaire on the Development of Digital Competencies of College Students'' designed based on these six indicators. The survey results show that students generally use the Internet to collect information, with the highest proportion using Google. They mainly learn by themselves through formal classroom teaching and participate in various technologies. Communities and practical projects to improve your technical skills. However, data organization and information security still need to be improved. Regarding the education and resources provided by the school, students have more opinions and feel that there is still room for improvement. Most students show strong interest in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. This study recommends that educational institutions should strengthen information technology education and provide more practical opportunities to meet students' learning needs for new technologies. |
