西周廟制初探

A Study of the Ancestral Temple System in the Western Zhou Dynasty

宗法制度乃周初穩定國家、社會的重要決策之一，而宗廟制度在宗法之基礎上自然延伸而出，然此中尚有諸多問題仍待討論，故本文特別針對廟數與昭穆制度加以探討。在廟數制度上，論述天子立四親廟或六親廟之問題，而筆者大抵讚同周初五廟之說；在昭穆制度上，則探討昭穆之名義、作用、次序與辨定昭穆等相關議題，期能藉由廟數與昭穆制度之探討，回過頭來對法與宗廟制度之內容有更進一步之瞭解。

The patriarchal system that stabilized the nation and society in the early years of Zhou Dynasty was one of the important policies, and the ancestral temple system was naturally extended out on the foundation of the patriarchal system. However, there are still many problems to be discussed, so this article puts the point particularly on the system of the ancestral temple number and ''Zhao-mu''. On the system of the ancestral temple number, this article discusses the problem concerning establishing four or six consanguineous ancestral temples by the Emperor, and I agree that there wear five ancestral temples in the early years of Zhou Dynasty; on the system of ''Zhao-mu'', this article discusses some related subjects of ''Zhao-mu'', such as the name, function, order of the ''Zhao-mu'', and how to differentiate ''Zhao-mu'' etc. Through the study of these problems, we can hopefuly a deeper understanding of the content of the patriarch and the ancestral temple system.
