Taiwan is a mountainous island, and one of the important factors restricting development is“space”. Regarding the large-scale transportation construction, such as Songshan Airport, there should be more in-depth discussions. In particular, the capital located in the Taipei Basin is a“fragile”city. It is necessary to understand the development difficulties of the Taipei metropolitan area from the perspective of its unique geography. Disaster relief, rescue and ambulance, if all the large and small fast and slow aircraft types are transferred to Taoyuan Airport, the traffic in the capital will completely rely on land connection transportation in the future, which may not be safer and more reliable. The location of the third runway of Taoyuan Airport is another hidden worry. Compared with London, there are five large and small airports; in Tokyo, Narita and Haneda complement each other. The comprehensive results show that Songshan Airport is still an important link for convenient transportation in the Greater Taipei area. Using literature analysis method to explain the geographical background of the Taipei Basin, understanding the Songshan Airport in the Taipei Basin and the Taoyuan Airport set up on a flat platform, the two are obviously separated and distanced due to the terrain, and the results of the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of spatial development, retaining the Songshan Airport and connecting with it Taoyuan Airport develops a complementary relationship and division of labor and cooperation. For the large Taipei area with a concentrated population, it can have greater flexibility and choices in transportation. |
