This study tries to integrate service learning as a teaching method into the curriculum “Ability of Expressing in Spoken and Written Chinese", trying to enhance learners' abilities of “turning of service learning stereotype", “strengthening awareness of student club affairs and events", “enhancing the ability of team communication and cooperation", “improving expression of spoken and written competence"by designing and implementing the innovative service learning program (school newsletter in Tatung university), and encourage thinking of self-development and self-growth. In total, by participating and implementing service learning, and analyzing reflective feedback sheet, the results show the service learning program improves ability of service learning, student club affairs, team communication and expressing in spoken. Therefore, integrating service learning into Chinese curriculum offers significant benefits, it might be one of the strategies to promote and improve Chinese teaching. |
