This paper aims to explore the application of Taiwanese temple craftsmanship and painted characteristics in temples, the cultural significance of their shapes, and analyze their themes, forms and contexts by taking the decorative craftsmanship of Zhuntian Temple as a case study. This study adopts the method of literature analysis and field observation, first collects monographs, historical books, journal papers and master's and doctoral theses related to the theme, and uses them as the basis for research to establish a well-founded content structure. Subsequently, the author visited Zhuntian Temple to study his decorative craftsmanship works and photographed them for analysis. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore:(1)the types and decorative styles of temple architecture in Taiwan, and to systematically organize the literature with painting, cutting and gluing and Koji Pottery as the main axes;(2)The characteristics and humanistic significance of Taiwan's temple decoration, and(3)the case analysis of the application of Koji Pottery and painting to Nantou Zhuntian Temple, and finally summarize the spirituality of Taiwan's temple decoration technology. |
