Population aging and declining birthrates have become significant social trends in contemporary society. Faced with an increasingly insuf¬ficient labor force, the government actively promotes volunteerism, with middle-aged and older adults becoming the primary contributors to volunteer services. In many elementary and junior high schools, volun¬teers have long been engaged in assisting with school affairs, classroom management, and even participating in teaching activities. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction and well-being among middle-aged and older school volunteers. The partici¬pants were volunteers from elementary and junior high schools in Taic¬hung City, Changhua County, and Nantou County. A total of 241 valid responses were collected and analyzed. The major findings are as follows: (1) Participants’health status and marital status significantly influenced both their job satisfaction and well-being. (2) A positive correlation was found between job satisfaction and well-being. (3) Job satisfaction effec¬tively predicted well-being and had significant predictive power. Based on the results, this study provides practical recommendations for middle-aged and older adults, school volunteers, governmental agencies, and fu¬ture researchers. |
