「藝術永續行動研究國際論壇」──藝術創意工作者如何將永續概念融入專業生涯發展？

International Forum for Art Sustainability—''How Artists & Creators are Incorporating Sustainability into Their Work?''

社團法人臺灣視覺藝術協會（視盟AVAT）與臺師大美術系合組之「視盟╳臺師大藝術永續行動實踐室」，近年來戮力研析視覺藝術的永續行動方案。繼2023年執行臺灣視覺藝術首度永續意識調查，並完成前期研究《氣候正義在地覺醒：視覺藝術永續行動研究報告書》之後，2024年11月底召集本場「藝術永續行動國際論壇」，探討核心提問：「以藝術創意為職志的工作者，要如何將永續概念整合到自身的藝術實踐與專業生涯發展中，從中找到自身與國際社會相關連的生態永續的支柱？」
本場論壇齊聚八組國內外企業界、藝術研究與藝術創作的永續行動者擔任主講人，從在地情境與國際社會對話，催生對整體生態系與環境共好的作法。我們發現臺灣藝術界正試圖聯合跨域力量，以發揮氣候永續的國際社會影響力；相對地，我們也關切當ESG成為資格，對視覺藝術工作者相關權益之影響。據此我們呼籲，政府宜研議淨零與韌性並重、人文驅動的視覺藝術治理方案，並結合先行者經驗促進跨領域合作，以利開發推廣符合臺灣本土情境的永續材料，同時建立對話、分享、實踐個案露出與共生的視覺藝術永續知識平台。

A joint venture between the Taiwan Visual Arts Association (AVAT) and the Department of Fine Arts of the National Taiwan Normal University has been working hard in sustainable initiatives for visual arts. Following the implementation of the first sustainability awareness survey in Taiwan’s visual arts in 2023 and the completion of the preliminary research ''Local Awakening of Climate Justice: Research Report on Sustainable Action in Visual Arts'', the International Forum for Art Sustainability held at the end of November 2024 to discuss the core question: ''How can those who work in the field of artistic creativity integrate the concept of sustainability into their own artistic practice and professional career development, and find the pillars of ecological sustainability that are related to themselves and the international community?''
The forum brought together eight groups of sustainable activists from the business community, art research and art creation at home and abroad as speakers, who engaged in dialogue with the international community based on local contexts to generate approaches that benefit the overall ecosystem and environment. We found that the local artistic community is trying to unite cross-domain forces to exert international influence on climate sustainability; correspondingly, we are also concerned about the impact on the rights and interests of visual artists when ESG becomes a qualification. Therefore, we call on the government to design a human-driven governance plan for visual arts that emphasizes both net zero policies and resilience, and to promote cross-sector collaboration based on the experience of pioneers to facilitate the development and promotion of sustainable materials that are in line with local environment and cultures, while also establishing a sustainable knowledge platform for dialogue, sharing, practical case exposure, and symbiosis.
