Generally speaking, volunteer enlisted soldiers are discharged in midlife, and most of them may plan to start a second career. Since re-employment is an important issue, this study aims to explore the differences and career transitions caused by the personal background variables of veterans on the four career transition factors of ''work values'', ''professional skills'', ''reemployment needs'' and ''stable employment'' , and the correlation between the influencing factors of career transition. The research focuses on those who have served at the Nantou County Veterans Service Office. Data were collected from online questionnaires, and 398 valid ones were retrieved. This study used SPSS 22.0 statistical software for quantitative analysis. According to the results of this study:(1) There are significant differences in work values of veterans in terms of their retirement benefits, age, education level, marital status, residential status, economic status, health status, and current career status.(2) The age, education level, marital status, living status, economic status, health status, and current career status of retired veterans have significant differences in professional skills, re-employment needs, and stable employment.(3) Correlation analysis shows that ''work values'', ''professional skills'', ''reemployment needs'' and ''stable employment'' are all significantly and positively related to each other, which means that if one of the factors is improved, other factors will also Increase accordingly. The results of this study can provide references for Veterans Associations Council to provide employment guidance by using vocational training and subsidies and rewards to strengthen the professional skills and work values of veterans, thereby increasing the demand for reemployment and ultimately achieving the goal of stable employment. |
