The concept of self-support is to enhance the independence of the elderly, and to delay disability through the self-care ability of the elderly. The combined with home care services can also respond to the government's purpose of promoting home care. There are three cases accepted in this research, and a retrospective study is used to analyze the records of cases receiving care services: including home care training self-care ability content, such as daily life functions, such as going up and down stairs, walking training, lifting (pouring) water bottles, etc., and using Activities of daily living function scale, functional fitness and depression index were evaluated before and after training. Then understand the problems of home care cases in implementing self-care, the effect of self-care ability after combining the self-supporting model, the feelings of the cases and their family after the combining. The results showed that after the case had undergone self- support model training, the activities of daily living and functional fitness were partially improved, such as walking ability, flexibility, and ability to sit to stand were significantly improved. The depression index can also be seen to drop significantly in individual cases, which has the effect of reducing anxiety and increasing the desire to learn new things. The effectiveness of combining the self-supporting care model into home care services depends on the individual training of the home workers and the support of family members. Especially for the daily activities and training of the cases, the family members accompany them longer than the home care attendant, which can provide the observation and training of the cases' practical life. It is suggested that the home care services combined with self-supporting model can be widely promoted, which substantially improve the self-care ability of the elderly and achieve the effect of delaying disability. |
