The purpose of this paper is to analyze the conflicts arising from social class and their resolution in the novel Crazy Rich Asians. Textual analysis and the approach of cultural study are the two main methods employed to analyze the novel. Textual analysis helps to uncover many subtleties latent in a piece of literary work that are intended for a sensitive reader to detect. Along with textual analysis, the approach of cultural study, which examines how class is formed as a social stratification, is employed to explore the reflection of social realities in the novel. I use the above methods to analyze the novel and to discover how different social classes evoke and reconcile their conflicts.
