The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional labor and the teaching effectiveness of special education teachers of vocational senior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City. The research adopted a questionnaire survey method and selected 195 special education teachers of vocational senior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City as research samples. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression. The results of this study are summarized as follows: (a) The emotional labor and teaching effectiveness of special education teachers of vocational senior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City are medium to high. (b)The emotional labor of female special education teachers of vocational senior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City was better than that of males. (c)The emotional labor and teaching effectiveness of older special education teachers of vocational senior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City were different from those of younger ones. (d) The emotional labor and teaching effectiveness of special education teachers from special education credit courses of vocational senior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City were better than those from department of special education. (e)The emotional labor of special education teachers of vocational senior high school in Taipei and New Taipei City has significantly influenced teaching effectiveness. Moreover,“deep performance”and“diversity”have significantly positive effects on teaching effectiveness. |
