Musical therapy is a burgeoning therapeutic means to psychotics' health care; and, this is particularly true in psychiatric day care wards. In recent years, the literature on musical therapy demonstrates the therapeutic effects of musical therapy on patients' psychological and physiological states, increasing the application of musical therapy to psychotics. In this paper, the researcher explained the three underlying principles of musical therapy, namely the iso principle, entrain and diversion, analyzed some aspects of the certified use of musical therapy in psychotics' health care nowadays, and disclosed several kinds of musical therapy groups frequently adopted by the researcher in psychiatric wards, hoping that musical therapy would become a therapeutic means available to fellow medical professionals performing group therapy. |
