Our economic entities are mainly manufacturing industries, but the manufacturing industries are mostly traditional industries. Their occupational safety and health concepts and management systems are weaker than other high-tech industries, so the risk of occupational disasters is relatively high. Faced with an endless stream of occupational safety and health issues, the Ministry of Labor revised the regulations on occupational safety and health management on February 19, 2016, stipulating that enterprises should establish an occupational safety and health management system suitable for the institution with reference to occupational safety and health guidelines. The management system regulates the safety and health of enterprises to maintain labor safety and health. Based on the proactive and reactive safety and health management performance indicators and background information of the manufacturing industry in Miaoli area, the difference and relevance of proactive and reactive occupational safety and health management performance were investigated into two categories in this study, including traditional or non-traditional industry types and whether to introduce an occupational safety and health systems. |
