This article proposes a political interpretation of Project Itoh's Genocidal Organ. The ''genocidal grammar'' is a metaphor for the combination of the essential identity and democracy, that presents a risk of ethnic conflict to the Third World. At the end of the novel, the genocidal grammar destroyed the United States, it is a prophecy of Trump Presidency. The world-system in the novels by Project Itoh are dualistic, the Third World in the system has no subjectivity, and the overthrow of the world-system is driven only by the deus ex machina by few elites. This reflects the fact that Project Itoh, who lived in the 2000s, had a great insight into the world-system, but was unable to beyond his time. |
