英文摘要 |
Following the perspective of Life Education in Humanistic Buddhism, the author reviews recent writings using the interpretative approach found in Tiantai Buddhist texts to summarize the significance of life education as found in Tiantai teachings and meditation methods, and their later developments in the practice of humanistic Buddhism. The main purpose of this paper is to discuss the unique ideas and practices in the Tiantai tradition, and demonstrate how they were responses to problems in society at the time. We hope the discussion can echo Master Hsing Yun's convictions that life education in Humanistic Buddhism has solid relationship with the theories and practices of traditional Buddhism. |
