Objectives: A well-functioning psychotherapy training program is supposed to compose of didactic education, observation and practice of clinical work, professional supervision, and personal therapy experience. In this presentation, the authors report the result and efficacy of a long-term psychotherapy training group, which was framed from Mentalization- based therapy model. Methods: Participants join Mentalization - based experiential group and Mentalization - based treatment training group designed by author. Group composed of introductory lectures, experiential courses and clinical group observation. Participants take turns practicing be as group leader and members in the training group. To assess participants' learning effect and the efficacy of the program, group discussion and feedback questionnaire survey were provided. Results: Seven participants completed the entire training group. Quality survey reported that this training group could help participants have more usable knowledge of metalization theory and intervention skill, become more confident in using learned techniques, improvement in self-observation and interpersonal observing, knowing self-issue, the most valued learning effect was the improvement of interpersonal practicing and group leading skill, which was also the purpose of this training group. Conclusions: This training group using multiple teaching elements to help participants increasing self-observation, learning individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy skill. Participants who join this training group can gain certain benefits from this group. |
