Group analysis is a school of analyzing group-as-a-whole. Therapeutic community is a treatment model originated from group analysis and very popular in western countries, but we don’t have much experience of therapeutic community in Taiwan. Oxford Complex Need Service is a specialized institute to organize all the treatment for personality disorders in Oxfordshire. The operational modules are divided into 4 parts. Teir 1 is the preparative group for therapeutic community. Teir 2 is mini therapeutic community providing 2 half-day programs a week for people with mild to moderate personality disorders. Teir 3 is day therapeutic community, providing 3 day programs a week for people with severe personality disorders. Teir 4 is a group after therapeutic community for further transition. All the members are seen as an object in therapeutic community. Therefore, the therapeutic power comes from the group of members. Recent reports find belongingness, self agency and social learning are the most important therapeutic factors. |
