Purpose:Drug inventory needs to ensure that the accounting materials are correct and quantitatively ordered in a timely manner through drug inventory, and provide patients with immediate medication treatment. The hospital's manual paper-based inventory process is cumbersome and time-consuming. This project aims to enhance operational efficiency through quality control and lean techniques. Methods:The process procedure analysis combined with the concept of the quality control method PDCA was used to analyze and improve the reasons for the drug depot's daily operation time exceeding the working hours. Five major policies were formulated for improvement: simplification of routine business division of labor, advance announcement of human resource flexibility, implementation of an intelligent inventory system, improvement of drug inventory accuracy, and humanization of environmental inventory. Results:After the improvement, the operation time of the drug library inventory was reduced from 9.4 hours to 3.2 hours, achieving a progress rate of 66.0% and a target compliance rate of 110.7%. The number of errors in the drug count was reduced from 65 to 0. Conclusion:Through the introduction of intelligent automation equipment and implementing collaborative improvements, the efficiency of daily operations in the drug depot inventory can be greatly improved. |
