Social media not only changes the ways of interpersonal communication but also affects individual cultural identity and social interaction patterns. For indigenous college students, social media offers a unique space to display their cultural characteristics and interact with a broad range of social groups. This study aims to explore the impact of social media literacy on the interpersonal relationships of indigenous college students in Taiwan, proposing the roles of social support, psychological resilience, and self-esteem in the relationship between social media literacy and interpersonal relationships. Additionally, the study analyzes the influence of cultural identity on the interpersonal relationships of indigenous college students. The research employed a questionnaire survey method from March 1, 2024, to April 1, 2024, distributing electronic questionnaire links through indigenous social media communities, groups, and the researcher’s contacts, collecting 282 responses. Research data were analyzed using PLS 4.0 statistical software to validate the research hypotheses. The results show that the research model has good reliability, validity, and fit, confirming that social media literacy significantly positively affects social support, psychological resilience, and self-esteem, which in turn significantly positively affect interpersonal relationships; cultural identity ha s a moderating effect between social support, psychological resilience, self -esteem, and interpersonal relationships. Based on the research findings, recommendations for enhancing the interpersonal relationships of indigenous college students are proposed as a reference for their counseling. |
