因應資訊媒體發展迅速及多元管道，為提供民眾研究、創作、休閒等需求，教育部於2021年5月21日核定「國家圖書館多媒體創意實驗中心建置及館藏資料典藏暨移藏計畫」，本館重新規劃服務空間、模式及館藏典藏方式，導入創新服務及集結研究館藏，提供民眾多元及專業的服務，打造全新的多媒體創意實驗中心，並於2022年11月19日正式對外服務。

In response to the rapid development of information media and the diversity of its channels, as well as aiming to meet the needs of the public, whether in regards to research, creation, or even leisure, the Ministry of Education approved the“Establishment of the NCL Open Lab Multimedia Center and the Migration of Collections Project”on May 21, 2021. With the project in place, the NCL began replanning service spaces and models as well as how one may access our collections, with the ultimate goal of providing the public with further diversified and professional services through—in part—a new multimedia center. On November 19, 2022, the“Open Lab Multimedia Center”was officially opened.
