The present paper describes the Japanese acupuncture models created prior to 1945 that are housed in museums around Europe, in addition to being primarily collected in Japan. The hundred-year-old models were built from paper, wood, or copper. This paper also covers the unique characteristics of the models designed to help acupuncture students better memorize anatomical tissues under acupoints and ensure patents’safety during invasive needling. |
