Since 1980’s, people around the world are gradually recognizing the social impact of social entrepreneurs and their implications to the decision making in the public policy process. Social entrepreneurship can be defined as“an effort by an individual, group, network, organization or alliance of organizations that seeks sustainable, large-scale change through pattern-breaking ideas in what governments, nonprofits, and businesses do to address significant social problems.”(p.12) 2 and one well-known example from recent years is most notably Muhammad Yunus. |
