William T. Gillis and Hiroshi Hara have recently reviewed Dr. Li's very excellent book on ''The Woody Flora of Taiwan''. Both have pointed out a few errors. The purpose of this paper is to make a few additional corrections. On page 159 the lines in the key to the genera of Schisandraceae are reversed.
They should read 1. Carpels of fruit globose-capitate ................ 1. Kadsura
2. Carpels of fruit elongate-spicate ................ 2. Schisandra
On pages 188 and 190 the names beneath the figures are reversed. Fig 68 on page 188 is Micheliopsis kachirachirai and Fig 69 on page 190 is Michelia formosana. |
