The main purpose of this study was to explore relationship between preschool teachers’ perceptions of organizational politics(POP)and job involvement. A questionnaire was conducted with preschool teachers for collecting data on their job involvement and POP scales to classify their POP styles. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, path analysis were used to analyzed these data. The result of factor analysis shows that POP including four dimensions:self-serving behavior of supervisor, self-serving behavior of coworker, self-serving behavior of cliques, avoiding action. Based on these dimensions, the cluster analysis on POP scales divides subjects into the following 3 sub-groups:perceptions of passive organizational political behavior, perceptions of individual political behavior, perceptions of small group political behavior. Finally, research confirms that there was a negative correlation between POP and job involvement. |
