Cultural issues are often involved in educational research. This article began with the introduction of “Decolonizing Methodology” written by New Zealand post-colonial theorist L. T. Smith and its application in the Western academic world since 1999, exemplified by Lincoln & Gonzalez's (2008) The Search for emerging decolonizing methodologies. In the current article, the development and status quo of the Decolonizing Methodology in Taiwan were examined. Reflections on the methodology were also offered. |
