The creative process is often perceived as an opaque operation, and as such, it would be beneficial to elucidate the creative ''black box'' through a clear and feasible methodology. This transparency could prove to be an advantageous reference for future artists. In this creative endeavor, the aim is to incorporate Western design thinking and the Double Diamond model with ideas from the Book of Changes (I Ching) and Eastern culture. The aspiration is to propose an Eastern ''Yi Design Thinking'' and employ it as the foundation for the creative process. It consists of three stages: ''selling'', ''thinking'', and ''executing''. There exist three elements, each with an outer circle and an inner square. The concept blends Eastern and Western perspectives, presenting diverging and converging paths similar to the Double Diamond model. It has the characteristics of sensibility and rationality. Finally, taking the Actron Normal Table as an example, we use ''Yi Design Thinking'' to integrate Eastern culture into the creation of artistic furniture. |
