大學通識教育的理念與實際

General Education

大學通識教育旨在提供大學生較開闊的知視野，使學生不致一離開其專門領域便懵然無知，與其他方面的專才無法溝通。本文除前言及結語外，分別討論：(一)通識教育的涵義(二)通識教育的目的(三)美國大學通識教育的實施概況(四)我國大學通教育實施現況檢討。並據以提出我國今後實施通識教育之建議如下：(一)不排除專門化(二)加強科學教育(三)妥善規劃課程(四)提高師資素質(五)改進教學方法(六)其他配合措施。

University general educations aims to provide students with a wider prospect so that students will have knowledge in other fields and be able to communicate with experts in other subjects. In addition to introduction and conclusion， this paper will discuss following aspects:(一)the definition of general education (二)the purpose of general education (三)the general situations for applying general education in America (四)the discussion of general situations for applying general education in our university. Based on the discussions above， there are some suggestions for general education in our country afterwards:(一)not to exclude professionalism skills (二)to streng then science education (三)to organize curriculum properly (四)to enhance the guality of teachers (五)to improve instructional methods (六)to coordinate other measures.
