This article examines the integration models in the Eurasian region, with a specific focus on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Union of Russia and Belarus, and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Through a detailed analysis of the historical process and operation of the CIS, the relationship between Russia and Belarus, and the function of the EEU, it becomes clear that the CIS aims to establish mutual coordination and maintain a stable and peaceful environment while preserving member states' sovereignty and independence. It is worth noting that Russian and Belarusian integration has progressed more rapidly than that of other member states. The EEU led by Russia has geopolitical considerations; however, the expansion of the EEU still needs to overcome internal and external limitations. |
