Switzerland’s State-Making and Independence

首先，我們將回顧瑞士由史前到羅馬征服的歷史，再來簡單描述蠻族前來的軌跡，接著檢視舊瑞士邦聯發展的過程，然後瞭解由勃艮第戰爭到施瓦本戰爭的經歷，其次考察由宗教改革到三十年戰爭、由法國大革命到拿破崙戰爭的歷程、以及由復辟與復興時期到獨立聯盟戰爭的經驗，最後以兩次世界大戰以來的發展作為結尾。

We shall start with a brief of account of the early history of Switzerland from its prehistory, the Roman conquest, and the Barbarian Invasions. We will then look into the development of the Old Swiss Confederacy. Furthermore, we will trace the experiences from The Burgundian Wars to the Swabian War, from the Reformation to the Thirty Years’War, from the French Revolution to Napoleonic Wars, and from Restoration and Regeneration to the Sonderbund War. Finally, we will end with accounts of the two World Wars.
