lower extremity varicose veins (LEVV) surgery is a newly developed innovative surgery in our hospital. The choice of cost and recurrence are important factors that patients take into account.The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of shared decision making (SDM) on patients' satisfaction with surgery and loyalty with hospital in the choice of a surgical method for lower extremity varicose veins. The study data was collected 86 adult LEVV patients. The instrument contained demographic information form and satisfaction questionnaire. The section inquired the participants for their basic information, including age, gender, education level, and occupation. The second part was a self-developed satisfaction scale. The content was related to the LEVV-surgical patients' satisfaction and loyalty to SDM. There were 16 questions in total. 89.5% underwent LEVV surgery for the first time. The Analysis of satisfaction, surgeons' communication with patient and family members and explanation of operation-related matters mean (M = 4.2). The results suggested that two-way medical-patient communication could be achieved via SDM. patients had great trust in the hospital. The patients' views on SDM altered after experiencing it, The 90% of the patients thought that PDAs were helpful in decision-making. This study introduces the medical-patient SDM a bridge between medical staff and patients. PDA so that patients can understand the advantages and disadvantages of different treatment methods, Which can further enhance the quality of patient care and improve patient satisfaction and loyalty. |
