This article presents a newly naturalized plant of Urticaceae in Taiwan—Urtica urens L. Previous reports have highlighted the potential of U. urens to become an invasive species. Therefore, it is advised to conduct both short-term and long-term monitoring of its spread and take prompt measures to remove any occurrences. To aid in identification, this report offers a detailed description, color photographs, and a distribution map of U. urens. Additionally, a key to the species of Urtica in Taiwan is provided for further reference.
