Teacher evaluation for professional development (TEPD) is a formative teacher evaluation aiming to improve the professional development of teachers. Since 2006, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan has been implementing TEPD for over 15 years. There have been a lot of TEPD research results in Taiwan in recent 15 years. In order to facilitate the research development and policy implementation of TEPD, this paper has analyzed 58 empirical researches and thus suggests the developing directions of the researches of TEPD in Taiwan, ROC. This paper analyzes the empirical studies from five dimensions, namely research subjects and methods, implementing situation, effects, difficulties, and contributing factors of TEPD. Based on the analysis findings, this paper suggests future researches from three dimensions, namely research themes and contents, research subjects, and research methods. |
