Recently many countries facing a problem of non-compliance of labor standards when negotiating FTAs with other countries. On the situation of politic, economic, social and cultural diversities, it's difficult to make the domestic labor laws coincide with internationally recognized labor rights. The U.S. Free Trade Agreements set up standards of labor standards since the North American Agreement on Labor Cooperation (NAALC). But Can the labor provisions of NAALC or the following agreements as the model for future negotiating FTA? This essay will compare the differences in U.S. FTAs and explore the ways of effective enforcement in labor provisions of FTAs. |
