The eighth survey of global software piracy carried out by the International Planning and Research Corp. (IPR) on behalf of the Business Software Alliance (BSA) shows that the rate of software piracy in Taiwan dropped 29 percentage points from 1994 to 2002, providing an index of the success of the government's efforts to protect intellectual property rights (see Table). The survey covered six major regions around the world and involved 26 categories of business software. |
