本前驅研究採單組重複性測量類實驗設計,探討八週失智照護行動學習及支持計畫運用於居家照顧服務員(簡稱居服員)之可行性及對其失智症知識、態度及能力的影響。29位居服員接受八週失智照護行動學習及支持計畫,包含三個主軸:失智照護行動學習課程、資深輔導員輔導及支持團體聚會。使用失智症知識評估量表(DementiaKnowledge Assessment Scale, DKAS)、失智症照顧態度量表(Approach to DementiaQuestionnaire, ADQ)及工作人員失智照護能力量表(Sense of Competence in DementiaCare Staff scale, SCIDS)進行前測及第四、八及十二週後測。Friedman’s test分析結果顯示介入後,居服員失智症知識、照顧態度及能力都有提升趨勢。失智照護行動學習及支持計畫對居服員為一項簡單方便又可行的在職教育學習策略,居服員表示行動學習電子書內容清楚且方便學習,可提高學習動機及失智症照顧知能,比起傳統課室教學更為方便。本研究結果將能做為居服員失智照護教育訓練規劃之參考,以提升其失智症照顧品質。 |

This pilot study used a one-group repeated-measures quasi-experimental design. This study aimed to explore the feasibility of an eight-week dementia care mobile-learning and support program and its effects on dementia knowledge, care attitudes and competence for home care workers. A total of 29 home care workers received the dementia care mobile-learning and support program for eight weeks. This program included three parts: mobile-learning courses in dementia care, on-the-job support by senior peers, and social networking. Dementia Knowledge Assessment Scale (DKAS), Approach to Dementia Questionnaire (ADQ), and Sense of Competence in Dementia Care Workers Scale (SCIDS) were used to assess the dementia knowledge, care attitudes, and competence at baseline and week 4, 8, and 12. Friedman test revealed that home care workers after receiving the program had improvement on knowledge, attitudes and competence. This dementia care mobile-learning and support program is a simple, convenient and feasible strategy for in-service education for home care workers. Home care workers reported that mobile learning strategies and clear and easy reading materials are convenient for their learning comparing to traditional didactic teaching. It can improve their learning motivation and knowledge, attitudes and competence of dementia care. This pilot study results can be used as a reference for education planning for home care workers and improve their dementia care quality. |
