The COVID-19 pandemic has had tremendous impacts on long-term care. Social isolation, nosocomial infection, and barriers to applying the new technologies were critical to the residents and their caregivers. However, some renovations have suggested small and delicate care models would maintain the health of the residents and staff members and care quality in the long-care facilities. Otherwise, concepts for sustainable development have been considered fundamental in the future. The universal design approach to the facilities and life support covers caregivers and the vulnerable. The needs of caregivers and the vulnerable are equally considered, and stigma should be eliminated. |
