人民幣國際化與荷蘭、英國等前例的研究

The Study of Renminbi Internationlization and its Pioneers, United Province of Netherland and United Kingdom

自2022年俄烏戰爭爆發，人民幣國際化的議題繼2008年金融海嘯後再度引起關注。本文先從文獻中找出影響貨幣國際化的條件，再以此條件驗證大航海時代起荷蘭、英國歷史貨幣國際化的發生的機制。最後以整理出條件，來檢視現階段人民幣國際化的成就與可能前景。荷蘭、英國在國家建設時掌握歷史發展機遇，改革其政治、財政、經濟、以及金融等制度，才能在國際貿易、國際資本市場成功地將貨幣國際化。人民幣自改革開放以來經濟有快速的成長，在貿易方面已是全球第一大、且占據全球第二大經濟體地位，她的貨幣國際地位應該要有相應提升。

After Russo-Ukrainian war, the issue of Renminbi internationalization again is set on horizon. This paper will examine the status and prosopect of RMB. I started from literature review to collect the conditions that affect currency internationalization. Then I described how United Province of Netherland (UP) and United Kingdom (UK) internationalized their currency. Finally, I used some key factors obtained from above to check RMB. Both UP and UK, during their stste-building, changed their political, tax, real-sector, and financial institutions to meet the timing and international charllenge, to internationalize their currencies. People Republic of China(PRC), after the “reform and opening up”, did get astonishing economic growth, and this should come with high status of its currency.
