「臺灣地區新職業聲望與社經地位量表」之建構與評估：社會科學與教育社會學研究本土化

「社會變遷調查新職業分類」固然有許多優點，而為許多調查，與教育社會學研究所採用，然而它基本上仍屬於名目尺度，在運用上就受到限制。本研究則在此新分類架構上，建構測量較細緻的「臺灣地區新職業聲望與社經地位量表」，以利於進一步的統計分析。而本研究所建構的新量表上各職業得分的高低，不但看來合理，也與許多其他量表顯得很一致，並具有良好的建構效度。而且先前許多國內的聲望量表，所評定的職業聲望並不能涵蓋所有的職業，而本研究新聲望與社經地位量表，都能涵蓋所有職業，包括許多本土所常見的特殊職業，這也是新量表的優點。

The New Occupational Classification for Social Change Survey is a useful tool for con?ducting surveys and has been adopted by many researchers in the field of Sociology of Education. However， since the classificatory system of the NOCSCS is essentially nominal， it restricts statistical analysis. This research has led to the development of a refined version of the NOCSCS which I call the New Occupational Prestige and Socioeconomic Scores for Taiwan， to allow for a greater range of statistical analysis. The new scores are quite reason?able and have good construct validity. As far as occupational prestige is concerned， many of the previous prestige scores for Taiwan do not include all occupations. In contrast， the new prestige and socioeconomic scores cover all occupations， including many of Taiwan’s spe?cial indigenous occupations. This is a unique advantage of the New Occupational Prestige and Socioeconomic Scores for Taiwan.
