英文摘要 |
Studies on the Taiwan-Indonesia relationship in the history are limited in the late colonial period or the Japanese occupation during the WWII, with little emphasis on the era of Cold War. This article is extended from the authors’ previous research to explore the Taiwan-Indonesia interaction in 1966-1971. Through investigating the declassified archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan, this article discusses the participation of five keypersons (Mah Soo-lay and Peng Meng-chi from Taiwan; Adam Malik, Be Sulindro, and military officers from Indonesia) in the process of negotiation. The findings of this article show not only the role of these keypersons, but also the internal patterns of management in both governments. |
