After the EU and South Korea's Free Trade Agreement (FTA) came into effect the spotlight will be focused on the potential EU-China's FTA. Despite numbers of advantages on trade complementary between the EU and China the effect of FTA has its limit according to the relationship on politics and trade of both sides. What the further trade relationship looks like if the idea of Sino-EU FTA is not workable? In 2007 the EU and China consented to update Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement of 1985 and prepared to sign Partnership and Cooperation Agreement however, four years went by, there are still a lot of questions to be worked out. What kinds of obstacles blockade the course of the negotiation? Will Lisbon Treaty have any effect on the ongoing trade negotiation? This article focus on three parts: ''trade relationship'' ''political dialogue'' and ''cooperative plan.'' By analyzing three parts we point out some obstacles and positions of both sides. In conclusion, the perspective on Sino-EU trade relationship will be mentioned. |
