In recent years, the design thinking of Regional Revitalization and Green Design has gradually received attention. The movement to preserve traditional culture and characteristic industries have begun to emerge. Bulrush weaving technology has become a very important development target under this trend. This study via literature analysis and field visits to learn about the product types of bulrush weaving and experience the characteristics of bulrush materials. There is still a lot of opportunities for innovation and development. Therefore, this research aims to explore the five-sense (visual, auditory, smell, taste, and touch) dimensions of the sensory experience on the user's experience of bulrush products and propose a distinctive and innovative bulrush product design concept. The research results point out that after several case field studies with the experts of the Taiwan Bulrush Society to discuss the five senses design, this study provides the creative product innovation proposals such as bulrush wind chimes, bulrush woven characteristic curtains and bulrush essential oil bags, among which the bulrush curtain that experts think is the most capable of presenting weaving skills, and can express five senses features experiences such as vision, smell, touch, etc. |
