The purpose of this study was to explore the impact of family leisure activities on parent-child interaction and life satisfaction. The research object is parents in Taiwan. Purposive sampling was utilized as the sampling method for this study. Of the 416 questionnaires sent out, 400 completed questionnaires were returned. IBM SPSS 22.0 software and AMOS 21.0 software package were used for statistical analysis. The strategies of data analysis included descriptive statistics, factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results were as follows: 1. There was a significant positive impact on family leisure activities toward life satisfaction. 2. There was a significant positive impact on family leisure activities toward parent-child interaction. 3. There was a significant positive impact on parent-child interaction and parent-child interaction toward life satisfaction. 4. The relationship between family leisure activities and life satisfaction was partially mediated by parent-child interaction. This research based on the result to offer parents further suggestions to increase life satisfaction: 1. Increasing social and cultural factors in family leisure activities can improve life satisfaction. 2. Increasing language interaction in parent-child interaction can improve life satisfaction. |
