The development of the internet has shortened the distance in the world and opened up multiple paths for learners to acquire knowledge. At present, digital learn-ing in Taiwan is mainly based on one-way and pre-recorded courses. There is a lack of discussion and interaction among learners, and it is not designed for gifted edu-cation. The main purpose of this article is to explore the advantages and challenges of online learning. Gifted online courses provided by American universities were discussed to help readers to have a better understanding about online gifted edu-cation.In the end, we introduced English online co-learning groups that are gradually emerging in Taiwan. Cases sharing were included to investigate the possibility to enroll online co-learning groups as supplement for gifted education. |
